Rayan enchanted Brazilians, and not least national team coach Carlo Ancelotti, with his convincing performance in the 3-0 win over Scotland on Thursday night. It was the winger’s first starting place in the national team, and he took the opportunity to prove his worth.

After the game, Ancelotti was delighted when asked about Rayan’s performance after the World Cup victory.
“He (Rayan) delivered a complete effort both defensively and offensively. He played a really good game and I’m very happy with his performance,” the national team coach begins, according to Brazilian media.
According to Ancelotti, it is particularly remarkable that Rayan can deliver at such a convincing level considering his age.
“He’s only 19 years old, but he plays with great maturity, works hard and has a lot of quality. I don’t think anyone understands how good he can actually be,” concludes one of the world’s best coaches.
