Liverpool are said to be ready to listen to offers for defensive midfielder Wataru Endo in the January window.
The 33-year-old Japanese international has yet to play a single minute of Premier League football this season, having been an unused substitute in the first four games.

Endo was also left out of Liverpool’s Champions League squad. Now, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, Liverpool are keen to make a profit from him this winter. – Anything over €6 million is good for a player they paid €20 million for to Stuttgart in 2023. – The Bundesliga club is on the relatively short list of interested parties.
“Endo’s contract expires at the end of the season and it seems likely that Liverpool will try to take advantage of their last opportunity to raise money for him in January, with so many players counted ahead of him,” Jacobs wrote for GiveMeSport.
“Iraola clearly doesn’t like him, and the best outcome for all parties seems to be an exit in a few months.”
In fact, Iraola’s own comments seem to suggest that it’s unlikely that Endo will get many opportunities anytime soon.
“Wata missed quite a bit of the training match [due to injury]. I think he’s still not at his best, but he’s training very well,” Iraola said at a recent press conference.
“The problem is that in front of him in his position, I have a lot of players.
“He’s competing against a lot of players because we’re also giving playing time to Trey (Nyoni), Ryan (Gravenberch), Alexis (Mac Allister), Dom (Szoboszlai) – players I’m picking right now.”

With Liverpool reportedly looking to recoup a sum for Endo in January, rather than losing him for free at the end of the season, we understand that they are already doing thorough research on midfield goals.
One of the players being considered is Fiorentina star Cher Ndour. Liverpool are one of several Premier League teams considering a move for the 22-year-old in January.
Ndour, an Italian international with two caps, has already built up an impressive CV despite his relatively young age. He has experience in four of Europe’s top leagues and is now potentially considering making the move to a fifth in 2027.
He has played in Serie A with Fiorentina, his career has also taken him to Portugal with Benfica, France with Paris Saint-Germain and Turkey with Beşiktaş.
A departure for Endo could lead to Liverpool increasing interest and starting a swap for Ndour – but they face competition.
Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Brighton, Crystal Palace and Hull City all made requests for Ndour earlier this summer and are still monitoring his situation.
