Atlético Madrid’s attacking star Julian Alvarez has been heavily linked with an exit for the past six months. Arsenal, Barcelona and PSG are fighting for the 26-year-old’s signature. We here at home on the mountain do not understand that the Argentine should be so outstanding. “Our man”, Alexander Sørloth, delivered far above what the player PSG are now willing to pay 125 million euros for.
Sørloth has had a role as a backup for Alvarez this season, but in around 700 fewer minutes than Alvarez has delivered 20 goals, exactly the same as the Argentine.

Last season, Alvarez scored five more goals than Sørloth in the Atletio shirt, but needed around 1600 minutes more on the pitch than the Norwegian to do so.
Now Alvarez is four years younger than Sørloth, but when you have the choice between an Alvarez at 100+ million euros and a Sørloth at around 40 million euros, we have no doubts.
According to The Independent , PSG have signalled they are willing to pay the €125 million Atletico are demanding to release Alvarez.
We recommend Arsenal and Barcelona to let the Ligue 1 club take the giant cost of securing Alvarez – and why not target Alexander Sørloth – who after all delivers more than Alvarez at Atletico.
