Arsenal are nearing a “full verbal agreement” to sign a “special” winger that Manchester United had hoped to lure to Old Trafford.

The Gunners want to make Piero Hincapie’s loan stay permanent this summer – but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that it is “almost guaranteed” that there will be three more signings.

The positions Arsenal want to strengthen are right-back, central midfield and wing. Now, however, it turns out that Arsenal can still sign two wingers – the first of which is a “special talent” in the form of Jeremy Monga.

16-year-old with 30 first-team appearances

The 16-year-old plays for Leicester City, and despite his young age, he made 30 first-team appearances last season.

There is a fierce race going on for his signature right now. Reliable journalist Ben Jacobs reveals that the “Foxes” have received no fewer than eight formal inquiries about the youngster.

TEAMtalk understands that Manchester United are among these clubs, and our insider Graeme Bailey described the Red Devils’ interest at the end of May.

The BBC then revealed that Monga was open to signing for Arsenal. Now, Jacobs has confirmed that talks to bring the winger to the Emirates Stadium are progressing.

Moreover, discussions are developing so quickly that a “full verbal agreement” is supposedly “close.”

Arsenal close to ‘full verbal agreement’ to sign Jeremy Monga

“More about Jeremy Monga and Arsenal,” Jacobs began when he posted on social media.

“Advanced talks are ongoing with Leicester after Monga chose Arsenal over several other clubs.

“A full verbal agreement is near.

When Romano gave his view on the situation, he revealed that Arsenal believe Monga is a “special talent”.

“Arsenal are moving forward in talks to sign Jeremy Monga,” Romano declared when reporting on his YouTube channel.

“Arsenal are ahead of all the other English top clubs who are interested in this boy.

“Negotiations are ongoing between all parties involved – the player’s side, the club’s side, Leicester and Arsenal.

“So let’s wait for the next steps, but at Arsenal they have great faith that they will sign Jeremy Monga.

“He’s obviously one for the future – he’s 16 years old – but at Arsenal they think he’s a special talent.

Expected price

In terms of cost, the Monga is expected to sell for an amount in the region of £10-15 million. If Arsenal and Leicester do not agree on a transfer fee, the matter will be decided by a court.
