Arsenal have received a bid from Turkish giants Galatasaray of €45 million. “It obviously tastes good for the bosses at the Emirates, but not so much for Gabriel Martinelli.

The 25-year-old Martinelli is one of the club’s most high-profile attackers. A good chunk of money that helps balance the budget is tempting.
Although the Arsenal management is considering selling players to balance the finances before the window closes, Martinelli’s camp has cleared everything immediately:

According to The Athletic , Galatasaray’s formal bid of €45 million was a sum Arsenal management were willing to consider.
The problem? Martinelli sets conditions for a possible transfer – and only wants to consider projects that match his sporting ambitions in Europe.
His contract with Arsenal expires in June 2027, with an option to extend until 2028. Since joining from Ituano in 2019, he has made 278 appearances and 62 goals for the first team – including 53 appearances, 11 goals and 7 assists in last year’s Premier League title.
As it stands, Martinelli will be there when Arsenal host Coventry at the Emirates Stadium on August 21, but already tomorrow Sunday Community shield, Arsenal and Manchester City will meet.
Arteta cleans up the squad
The Arsenal management wants to balance the books after signing 24-year-old Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge. In this window, the club has already sold:
- Leandro Trossard to Besiktas for €20 million
- Christian Nørgaard to Everton for £7 million
Mikel Arteta has previously explored options such as Morgan Rogers and Vinicius Junior – before the latter renewed with Real Madrid. These negotiations opened the way for a possible Martinelli sale.
But with a lack of contract renewal and a clear no to Galatasaray, the operation comes to a halt.
Arsenal will inform Galatasaray of Martinelli’s decision within a few hours. If there is no formal offer from a top league in Europe before the weekend, Martinelli will remain at Arsenal – and continue under Mikel Arteta for the 2026/2027 season.
