Arsenal recently released financial figures for the 2024/25 season that showed record revenues of £691 million. The management figures for the 2025/26 season are expected to be even better, with both the PL title and the CL final. Earlier this month, Mikel Arteta signed a new contract, making him the Premier League’s highest-paid coach. This is the backdrop, as the London club is now forced to cut spending.
Because according to The Athletic , the Arsenal management has informed the employees of the club that there is a plan to cut 60 positions.

The scope may change during the process, but the plan is to achieve significant savings that affect several departments. The coaching and support system around the men’s and women’s teams will be protected. The same applies to the club’s community work, security personnel and employees who work specifically with the women’s team.
The coach brings in around £20 million in annual wages, the players take around £200 million a year. Not sure the 60 employees at Arsenal who lose their jobs completely see that they are the big expense.
