According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are in the process of preparing a massive offer of around 70 million euros for Swedish Viktor Gyökeres that is expected to be formally put forward in the next few days.

Juventus have been encouraged to make an official bid due to the complications surrounding Arsenal and Manchester United’s interest in the player.

Arsenal prefer Sesko – United too unattractive Arsenal
have reportedly prioritised Benjamin Sesko over Gyökeres, partly due to the Swede’s higher price tag, while the player himself is not particularly interested in Manchester United as they do not play in the Champions League.

There is also interest from Saudi Arabia, but Gyökeres wants to remain in Europe.

Replacement Vlahovic
Juventus are on the hunt for a new No. 9 to replace Dusan Vlahovic, and Gyökeres has now become their primary target.

Fabrizio Romano and Tuttosport report that Gyökeres is considered a dream signing for the Bianconeri, who are now laying the groundwork for an official bid.

Juventus had a meeting with Gyökeres’ agents in London last week through intermediaries, followed by direct talks at the weekend.

Price clause of 100 million euros – internal dispute over transfer fee
Gyökeres has a buyout clause of 100 million euros in his contract with Sporting Lisbon. But there is now an internal power struggle between the player’s representatives and the club over the price tag.

Gyökeres’ team insists that they were promised that the player could leave the club this summer for around €65 million, but Sporting are now demanding significantly more.

The final price set by Sporting could be decisive for where Gyökeres ends up. Juventus can hardly afford to go much higher than 70 million euros.

Superb season – one of Europe’s hottest strikers
Gyökeres is currently one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe after a fantastic season with 54 goals in 52 games in all competitions, in which he helped Sporting secure another league title.

This comes after an already impressive first season in Portugal, where he scored 43 goals.

On the national team, the Swedish attacker has 15 goals in 26 games.
