Arsenal have made it clear that they want to tie Martin Ødegaard to a new contract, and TEAMtalk can confirm that new deals are also on the way for two other key players.
The 27-year-old Norwegian has had a good start to the season, scoring four goals in ten games in all competitions as Arsenal once again aim to compete on all fronts.

Mikel Arteta has repeatedly highlighted Ødegaard’s importance to the squad, and as we have already revealed, contract discussions with the playmaker have been ongoing for much of the year. “So it’s no big surprise that there is now a new and better deal.
Football Insider says that Arsenal see it as their next big priority to tie down Ødegaard – after Arteta’s stay at the Emirates was extended until 2030.
Arsenal are said to be “pushing” for a new Ødegaard contract, as his current deal expires in 2028.
The report adds that “no bumps in the road” are expected, and that everything indicates that Ødegaard will soon put pen to paper on new terms.
But talks are also well underway with two other key stars.

Arsenal expect to sign three new contracts soon
Arsenal hope to finalise new contracts for Ødegaard, Declan Rice and Jurriën Timber during the international break in November.
We understand that the Gunners are keen to secure the future of all three key members of Arteta’s squad.
Talks are expected to move forward with the trio, and new deals are on track to be finalized next month – but at least before the January window opens.
Both Rice and Timber’s contracts expire in 2028, as do Ødegaard’s. Arsenal clearly want to tie down the trio before they can end up in a situation where they have to listen to bids for them.
Rice has established himself as one of Europe’s best midfielders since joining Arsenal, and played a leading role in the team’s lifting of the Premier League title last season.
Timber, on the other hand, has become one of the Premier League’s outstanding right-backs.
His development has been particularly impressive considering the difficult start to his Arsenal career, when a serious injury kept him out for almost the entire debut season.
Since returning to match fitness, Timber has shown his quality, versatility and tactical intelligence – becoming an increasingly important part of Arteta’s defensive plans.
