You’ve seen Ryerson on the Norwegian national team when he rushes up the edge and slams a cross into the box. In the Bundesliga, there is actually no one who matches the 28-year-old in this.
Bundesliga.com keeps statistics for the most part, after eight games the stats show that Antonio Nusa is at the top of the assists throne with six assists. Last season, only Michael Olise had more assists in the Bundesliga than Julian Ryerson. This season, the Borussia Dortmund player has yet to record with goal points, but also has a top position in Bundesliga.com’s statistics chart.

During the first eight games, the 28-year-old has submitted 35 “crosses from open play”, where the pass is sent from a wide position into the sixteen-meter box while the game is in progress (not from set pieces).

Not bad at all for a right-back! Ryerson is packed with attacking DNA, a full-back not only the Bundesliga’s second-best/best club needs in the squad. We won’t be surprised if one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League again makes a push for Ryerson signing in 2027.
