The 28-year-old French striker, who often wears one of the wings, is considering his future after Al-Hilal has taken the initiative towards his people. – Al-Hilal brought in another Ballon d’Or winner from a rival club in the desert Karim Benzema. But he is 38 years old and, like Christiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr FC, is fast approaching retirement age.
Paris Saint-Germain are not holding back when it comes to salaries for Ousmane Dembélé, 18.5 million euros a year is for butter on the slice of bread, but…. Al-Hilal hints at a salary of 5 times what he gets today.

At the same time, PSG are working hard to extend the deal of the reigning Ballon d’Or winner – a contract that runs until June 2028. The Saudis are now waiting for the green light from the player himself before entering into formal negotiations with the Paris club.
Al-Hilal’s main priority to strengthen the attack
Al-Hilal’s offensive investment is still in an early phase, but according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the club has already held talks with Dembélé’s representatives to map out his interest in a change of club this summer. Formal negotiations with PSG will only be on the table if the Frenchman himself agrees to listen to an offer.
The interest arises shortly after Al-Hilal have already signed Crysencio Summerville – a move that should strengthen the wingers before the new season. Nevertheless, the sports management wants to add another striker of the highest class to the squad under Simone Inzaghi, and Dembélé tops the wish list.
So far, there are no official bids for PSG, and no sums have been announced. Everything now depends on Dembélé’s response to the first inquiry from the Saudis.
PSG are fighting to keep the golden boy
While Saudi interest grows, PSG are working for everything they are worth to secure one of the club’s most important pieces. The French champions are in talks over an extension of Dembélé’s contract, which runs until 2028 – a move to avoid the contract situation creating uncertainty during the season.
PSG’s attitude also underlines how crucial the winger is to the sporting project. Dembélé is a recent Ballon d’Or winner and a mainstay of the Parisian machine. The club is therefore not considering facilitating a sale at all – on the contrary, an extension is at the top of the agenda.
Dembélé’s choice will decide everything
The operation is still in an early phase, and negotiations between the clubs have not yet started. If Dembélé agrees to Al-Hilal’s approach, talks with PSG over a transfer deal could begin. If not, the Paris club will put all their efforts into completing the extension of the Ballon d’Or winner – and ensuring that the star stays on well beyond 2028.
