This summer, Robert Lewandowski is likely to walk out as a free agent from Camp Nou. One of the world’s best strikers has his contract expiring at Barcelona next month, but there is still no agreement on an extension. Last month, Sørloth was linked to Barcelona, now it is also reported that Chelsea have received a request from the La Liga giant.

First to Sørloth. The Norwegian’s player profile, “technical similarity” to Lewandowski and his ability to immediately adapt to Hansi Flick’s system, have sent Sørloth onto the candidate list of Barcelona’s sporting director Deco. Spanish Marca  is shocked that there is now a real possibility that Barcelona will hijack one of the players responsible for their elimination from the Champions League, Alexander Sørloth. According to journalist Matteo Morettos at La Pizarra de Quintana, the Catalan club have sent a formal request if Alexander Sørloth, Deco and the gang want to secure themselves if it does not end with a Lewandowski extension.

On Saturday, both Marca and ESPN Brasil report that Barcelona have also sent their feelers out to Chelsea. Joao Pedro was brought from Brighton to Stamford Bridge before the start of the season, and in a short space of time the Brazilian has played his way to high status at the London club with his 22 goals and 9 assists in 49 games. Now Barcelona want to continue with the 24-year-old.

Both media outlets claim Barcelona approached Chelsea through the Brazilian striker’s representatives to gauge the mood of the Premier League club’s willingness to negotiate. It turned out to be close to non-existent, it is reported.

Then Barcelona will have to return to Atletico strikers Julian Alvarez and Alexander Sørloth, definitely two worthy candidates to replace The Big Lewandowski.
