Pretty sure there won’t be a press release from Al Ettifag like we saw from AIK the other day where AIK Football’s assistant coach for the club’s women’s team, Athanassios “Sakis” Papadopoulos, goes on paternity leave for the rest of the season.
The 29-year-old, who grew up in Drammen, started his Norwegian football journey in Strømsgodset and represented Norway on several age-specific national teams. Later, the technical midfielder chose to change his national team nationality to Kosovo – a choice that gave him a new international platform.
Since then, Celina has traveled around Europe and made a name for herself in a number of clubs. Most recently, he impressed greatly in Allsvenskan, where he was one of the Stockholm club AIK’s very best players.
Now a new chapter awaits in the Saudi Arabian league – with new challenges, a lot of sand, new teammates, almost empty stands and a whole new football universe.
