The 17-year-old is leaving Northern Norwegian football for a Dutch big club.

Bodø/Glimt confirmed on Thursday that attacker Mikkel Bro Hansen will be sold to PSV Eindhoven. The transfer means that the Dane now gets the chance at one of the Netherlands’ biggest clubs.

“I’m very happy for all the experiences, friendships and experiences I’ve had at the club. Going here was 100 percent the right choice. I’m standing here today as a completely different person and have had experiences that are rare to get at my age.

According to Eindhovens Dagblad, the clubs agreed on a deal worth around 3 million euros – just over 32 million Norwegian kroner.

Bro Hansen became Glimt’s youngest goalscorer in the Eliteserien last autumn. But in competition with Danish compatriot Kasper Høgh, there has not been as much playing time as he hoped for this season.

Now PSV awaits – who, like Glimt, are ready for the Champions League.

“I can see myself in their plan, and I didn’t feel I could say no to this. At the same time, I feel that my time at Glimt has come to an end – even though I’ve had an absolutely fantastic time here,” says Bro Hansen.

Fewer striker options in Glimt

The striker came to Bodø from AGF in his home country before the 2025 season. He is considered a great talent – but Glimt still let him go to the Netherlands, even if it gives fewer options at the top.

Now only Andreas Helmersen and Ola Brynhildsen remain as pure strikers in the Glimt squad before the Champions League kicks off. No new attackers were brought in before the transfer window closed in Norway on Wednesday.

This summer, top scorer Kasper Høgh was sold to Celtic. Many thought it would open up more playing time for Bro Hansen – but this year he has only got 52 minutes in the Eliteserien, spread over six games.
