It shouldn’t happen, but it was about to happen. Hull City fought hard at home against the reigning Premier League champions, and with twenty minutes left in the game, it went to 0-0 and lost points to Arsenal. So who shows up and shows the way? Captain Martin Ødegaard, of course!
In the 72nd minute, Martin Ødegaard slipped into Hull’s box, and was in the right place at the right time. You could see Ødegaard tensing his body and being ready when Noni Madueke finished from an angle. Hull goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis saved the shot, but had to give it back.

Here, Ødegaard was ready and sent the ball safely past the Greek goalkeeper.
A wild celebration by Ødegaard and the Arsenal players showed how much the goal meant. With three points against Hull, Arsenal are now six points down on Manchester City in second.
This was Martin Ødegaard’s third game as a match-winner so far in the season! The 2-1 goal to win against Chelsea, the 0-1 goal to win against Napoli and now the 0-1 goal to win against Hull City. Simply brilliant!
