There it was! Two quick goals by Roma at Old Trafford were fought back to a 3-2 victory. A crazy journey for the United supporters, who already after seventeen minutes were dreading the rest of the evening. It ended with celebration. With finally a win, captain Bruno Fernandes could also tell the world where the English press is wrong.
“We’ve all worked so hard to get out of this situation and it’s been tough. There’s been a lot of speculation in the media and a lot of lies about a lot of things that have happened at this club. Between me and the manager… that we had cleared the air afterwards, but none of that happened. The manager decided to bench me because I didn’t perform, and that’s fair,” Fernandes begins.

“Everyone saw it as a punishment for my statements, and if it was, it would be right, because the manager makes the decisions that I have to accept and move on from, but it doesn’t change my belief in the manager, the staff and all the players who are at this club.”
Then it comes:
“It doesn’t change my ambition to win every single game we have in front of us,” concludes an attacking Bruno Fernandes.
