There came the bitter loss for Michael Carrick. Doubly bitter, because it happened at Old Trafford against the historically bitter rival Leeds. Unfair with the sending off of Lisandro Martinez after “lugging”, or not, the result was a red card and the final score was a 1-2 loss for the Red Devils. Now six Premier League games remain. If statistics are to be believed, one of the Manchester United players MUST be kept out of the match arena from the start. Because “the numbers show” that this player represents the losing version of United.
A bit far-fetched, but English journalist Samuel Luckhurst points to an interesting statistic after the loss to Leeds.

Manuel Ugarte was allowed to start against Leeds, but he failed to make his mark once again. The South American has simply not been able to adapt to the Premier League, and he delivered another disappointing performance in a United shirt.
Luckhurst highlighted a worrying statistic. Manchester United have now won just one of the last 10 games Ugarte has started for the club.
Ugarte was unable to provide the physical and defensive cover in midfield for Manchester United, and the Red Devils struggled to control the pace of the game.
In other words: Michael Carrick should keep Ugarte far away from the starting eleven, otherwise the Champions League ticket could go away!
