You see, it’s nearing the end of Casemiro’s football career – at least in the UEFA region – when the Brazilian sits down in front of the microphone and does “reminiscing” interviews with Rio Ferdinand. The Real Madrid legend, who wore the white shirt from 2015 to 2022, has played alongside several of the greatest attacking players in history. Ronaldo was of course the greatest, but Casemiro now gives his own opinion on which of the Real guns at the top was the most complete player.

Gareth Bale’s last few seasons at Real Madrid are summed up with a yawn. We remember the picture, where the Welshman sat with the covid face mask over his eyes and slept on the bench. In recent seasons, Bale was out in the cold, it was also clear that he sat out the last years of his contract to collect the last part of the giant salary of well over 500,000 euros a week.

Casemiro now says that Gareth Bale deserves to be remembered as the complete superplayer.

“Cristiano scores a minimum of 15 goals every season, but Bale can do everything – attack, defend, head and score. Cristiano is the best, he’s on a whole other level. Take Cristiano out of the discussion, so for me, Bale is the best and most complete player. Everything he does is really good. He is incredibly fast and very strong. For me, Bale is absolutely fantastic,” says Casemiro in the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast.
