Celtic are now in the process of securing Bodø/Glimt striker Kasper Hogh for £11 million. The Danish striker has been on the Bhoys’ radar as a top target in several transfer windows, now the Scots are about to get hold of “their man at the top”. It is reported that coach Martin O’Neil has a very offensive attack plan with Høgh in one of the main roles at the top.
Høgh is expected to be Celtic’s top signing this summer, but there is already great optimism about their first summer signing, striker Camilo Duran. The Colombian arrived for a much more modest sum from Qarabag, but already has three goals in three games for his new club in pre-season.

O’Neill typically operates with either a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3 formation, meaning there isn’t necessarily room in the squad for multiple top strikers competing against each other.
Hogh’s imminent arrival could already force Duran down the pecking order for the Hoops, but O’Neill hasn’t ruled out a switch to a formation that allows him to use both of his new attacking stars.

The experienced coach recently told The Herald that he sees no reason why the two can’t operate together in a striker partnership.
