Historic goalscorer in Lazio has scored his last goal. Now it’s over for Ciro Immobile.

“Don’t be sorry for me,” the 36-year-old said in a statement.

Between 2016 and 2024, Ciro Immobile scored a whopping 207 goals for Lazio. Thus, the Italian is the club’s best goalscorer in history – a record that will stand for a long time.


From Turin to Paris – via Dortmund and Seville

Immobile also had successful spells at clubs such as Turin and Besiktas, scoring 17 goals in 57 caps for Italy.

His last club was Paris FC, where he arrived as recently as January.

But now his career is over.

“I’ve loved football. Now I have a lot of plans. It has not been an easy choice, but the time has come to spend more time with my family, who have always followed me everywhere – and who I owe it to what they have given me,” says Immobile.

“Don’t be sorry for me. I have many plans for the future.

The 36-year-old also visited clubs such as Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla – but it was at Lazio that he really became a legend.

Now he is saying goodbye. One thing is for sure: Ciro Immobile is remembered as one of the greatest goalscorers in modern Italian football.
