We’ve long thought that Malmö FF’s Norwegian star Erik Botheim would go to something bigger than Allsvenskan, but we’ll admit we thought about the Premier League or one of the five big leagues, not Greece or Turkey.
Turkey have also after Mohamed Salah’s transfer to Trabzonspor earlier this summer, they have landed with the big deals.
Botheim’s agent with surprising move: “We have a deal”
During the week, it was reported that Malmö FF had received two concrete bids for Erik Botheim – from Turkish Trabzonspor and Greek PAOK. What the bids were was not made public.
Now agent Jim Solbakken makes a “surprising move” to the Turkish website Ajansspor. According to Solbakken, Botheim has already reached an agreement with Trabzonspor.
“The news about Trabzonspor is true. We have agreed on the personal terms.
The agent further states that Trabzonspor and Malmö are now negotiating the price – and that Malmö is demanding six million euros for Botheim.
Botheim seems to be on his way away from Allsvenskan. The question is whether Trabzonspor are willing to meet Malmö’s price demands. A transfer could be confirmed shortly.
