The “Ronaldo League” thought they had done a stroke of genius by bringing both Ronaldo and Neymar to the league for the Clash of the Giants. The former works hard for the astronimic salary, while the Brazilian has given the owners and supporters of his Saudi Arabian club 7 games and 1 goal. Now one of the “Giants” is done with desert football.
Neymar has been on his way back to Santos for the past month, but with a current contract in Saudi Arabia, this has been a matter of negotiation. Neymar wants to leave, the Saudi Arabian club can’t bear to pay a player who doesn’t play, the Brazilian club wants Neymar “home”.
So how is this solved?
Brazilian ESPN claims the negotiations are over, with Neymar terminating his contract. With around 53 million euros in contractual salary until the end of the period, the parties are said to have reached a compromise.
According to the Brazilian media, Neymar is turning around and refraining from demanding 32 million euros of the total.
This means that the Brazilian packs his Louis Vuitton bags and returns to Brazil with around 20 million euros – to end his contract…
