Eugen Polanski will be fired from Borussia Mönchengladbach after barely a year in the job, the Bundesliga jumbo announces.

“The decision is in itself right. The team was fairly stabilised under him last year, but there were and still have significantly higher expectations for a Gladbach, who themselves thought they would now have a good season after a couple of years of hard work. The squad is not built for the European play-offs, but they should be able to challenge for the places right behind,” says Fotbollskanalen’s Germany blogger Keven Bader.
