TEALtalk reports that Everton have revived interest in signing Bodø/Glimt left-winger Jens Petter Hauge – but the blue shirts from Merseyside will have a fierce battle for his signature.
The 26-year-old Norwegian international has simply taken Europe by storm. With his electric runs, unpredictable creativity and ability to decide the biggest games, he was one of the main reasons why Bodø/Glimt shocked the big clubs in the Champions League last season.
Hauge returned to his childhood club on a permanent basis in early 2025 on a deal worth €4 million and signed a deal that lasts until the end of 2028. Since then, he has only continued to impress – scoring crucial goals against some of Europe’s very best teams.
More English clubs in the queue
It has not gone unnoticed. Several English clubs have opened their eyes to the Norwegian, who can amplify any attack in the Premier League.
Everton have breathed life into interest in the winger. The Toffees have previously been linked with Hauge, and it is confirmed that he is still high on his wish list. The price tag? Around £30 million – a sum that in today’s market seems like a bargain for a player with Hauge’s qualities.
But Everton will have competition. Sunderland have also put Hauge on their radar, and sources indicate that the Black Cats have already made contact with his representatives. They see him as a player who can adapt at lightning speed, thanks to his European background and experience from stays abroad.
Leeds United and Hull City have also reportedly entered the race for the versatile striker. Both clubs are looking for reinforcements on the wings, and Hauge’s dazzling mix of speed, technique and goal danger fits like a glove.
Glimt demands big money
Bodø/Glimt, however, are safely in the driver’s seat. With a long-term contract and Hauge’s enormous importance to the team, the Norwegians will demand a significant sum to release their star. The transfer window is still wide open, and Hauge’s future is far from decided. But the level of interest from the Premier League suggests that something could happen before the deadline.
And it doesn’t stop with England. Several Serie A clubs are also keeping a close eye on the Norwegian cannon – and Hauge is undoubtedly one of the most exciting players to keep an eye on in the weeks to come.
