Real Madrid and Uruguay star Federico Valverde was filmed with an ugly scar during a visit to the hairdresser.
Federico Valverde has shown off the wound he received in the fight with Real Madrid teammate Aurélien Tchouaméni.
The incident happened in early May, after a disagreement on the club’s training ground. Uruguayan Valverde was hospitalized after sustaining a cranioencephalic injury – a form of concussion.

Madrid was unenthusiastic and fined each player 500,000 euros.
Valverde has kept a low profile since the incident but recently appeared in a video shared on social media by his hairdresser. In the video, the midfielder is seen with a clear scar on the top of his forehead.
Valverde prepares for the World Cup
Valverde is currently with Uruguay’s squad and is preparing for the World Cup, which starts next Thursday. Marcelo Bielsa’s team is in Group H along with European champions Spain, Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia.
“I got support from the club
Arriving at the team’s training camp last week, the 27-year-old said he had received support from both the Madrid fans and the board during a difficult time.
“I had the support of a lot of people – the devotion of all the Real Madrid fans, and also the support of the club. There are times when you have to overcome these minimal obstacles in football and in life,” he said.
Valverde even claimed that the incident will have positive aspects, adding:
“All of this will lead to me becoming a better captain in the years to come and hopefully I can continue to defend Real Madrid.
With Tchouaméni also selected in France’s squad, there is a chance that the two will meet face-to-face in opposite colours during the World Cup.
This is what Real Madrid said about the match
At the time of the clash, Madrid was plagued by rumors of disagreements in the dressing room – and this incident was the most high-profile.
A club statement read:
“Real Madrid announces that, following the events that led to the opening of a disciplinary case yesterday against our players Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni, both have appeared today before the investigator assigned to the case.”
“During this performance, the players have shown their total remorse for what happened and have apologized to each other.”
“In the same way, they have transferred their apologies to the club, teammates, coaching staff and supporters. Both have made themselves available to Real Madrid to accept whatever sanction the club deems appropriate.”
“Given these circumstances, Real Madrid has decided to impose a financial sanction of €500,000 on each player – thus closing the internal investigation.”
