Fredrik Aursnes is the player who has established himself in Benfica’s starting eleven. Last season with Jose Mourinho, he was used in what were positions in midfield and on the right wing. It was therefore a brilliant message for Ståle Solbakken and Norway, as the former Molde player chose to make himself available for national team play in the World Cup, after a long absence. Now the 30-year-old has made another decision about his future in the Norwegian national team shirt.
Aursnes wants to have more fun with Ødegaard, Haaland and the gang, the comeback in the World Cup unsurprisingly left him wanting more.

It is Ståle Solbakken who confirms to Dagbladet that Aursnes will continue on the Norwegian national team.
The decision to make himself out of the question for Norway in March 2024 was justified by too large a total load, now Aursnes has once again found a balance between club football and gatherings with the national team.
