Bayern Munich are chasing Harry Kane’s successor

The German giants have their eyes on a Premier League striker – and Vincent Kompany wants to secure the goal guarantor of the future right now.

Bayern Munich are closely monitoring the development of 19-year-old Rayan – Bournemouth’s Brazilian attacking prodigy. According to German sources, it is a clear wish from Vincent Kompany that the club sign him already in this summer window.

Bayern want to secure the Brazilian international to rotate with Harry Kane – and at the same time secure the generational change in the striker position. The problem? Bournemouth value him at £130 million and consider him unsellable just six months after arriving in England.

Kompany follows Rayan closely

Kompany has officially asked for the club to follow the striker – especially after his impressive adaptation to the Premier League. Rayan joined Bournemouth in January 2026 from Brazil for €28.5 million, signing a long-term contract that runs until June 2031.

In just a few months in English football, he has already scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in 15 Premier League games. In addition, he has 6 caps and 1 goal for Brazil – and Transfermarkt has already priced him at €60 million.

Bournemouth refuses to negotiate

The Bournemouth management have rejected all attempts at negotiations in this window, citing the £130 million price tag. In addition, Rayan has a buyout clause that does not come into effect until the summer of 2027 – giving the English club full control of the situation.

Both FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have also sent scouts to follow the 19-year-old. But Bournemouth are adamant: Whoever wants him will have to pay a record sum to force a sale.

Bayern Munich’s management will meet with the player’s representatives during the first week of August 2026. The German giant is following the striker market closely – with one eye on a future without Kane.
