There is only one year left on England’s top goalscorer Harry Kane’s contract with reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. Kane left his childhood club Tottenham three years ago without a single trophy, since then he has won the Bundesliga twice and the German Cup.

What is missing is the Champions League, Bayern Munich are willing to pay well to reclaim the throne of European football, while Harry Kane himself needs, NEEDS, to win.

The BBC reports that Harry Kane is about to start formal negotiations with Bayern Munich over a new deal with the German giants.

The England captain’s current contract expires at the end of the coming season – but Bayern are keen to extend the goalkeeper’s stay. It is known that the 32-year-old is aware that the Bundesliga giant wants to offer him a new contract, and the expectation is that talks will take place in the next few weeks.

Expecting a leading role for Alexander Sørloth

Kane joined Bayern from Tottenham in 2023, in a transfer worth €95 million.

Since then, he has had great success in Munich, with two Bundesliga titles and one German Cup trophy. Kane has netted a whopping 146 times in 134 appearances for Bayern. With six goals for England in the recently concluded World Cup, the experience from the USA, Mexico and Canada, was much like playing for Tottenham. Despite Bayern being desperate to tie him down to a new deal, Kane is still attracting interest from clubs across Europe – and beyond.
