Richarlison was brought to Tottenham as one of the sharpest strikers in the Premier League, this for bottom team Everton. This was the player who would be ready as Harry Kane’s replacement if the day came with the exit of the England international star. Kane’s exit came in the summer of 2023, but Richarlison was anything but ready to replace the Premier League’s second highest scorer. Now a game is underway where the only certain outcome is that the Brazilian has done his part in the Spurs shirt.
Richarlison has been linked with an exit at every transfer window, but has worked through injury spells and lack of scoring form and stayed. Last season, next to nothing worked out for Tottenham in the Premier League with their razor-thin survival in the top flight, but Richarlison actually had 11 Premier League goals and delivered to the mark.

However, the path up to replacing Harry Kane is unattainable. Last week, transfer journalist Romano reported that Richarlison had agreed a contract with Trabzonspor, but Tottenham did not allow themselves to be pressured. Richarlison was brought in from Everton for £60 million, unsurprisingly the London club have turned down bids of £15 and £20 million from the Turkish club.
According to Caughtoffside’s sources , the 29-year-old agreed with Trabzonspor on salary terms three times higher than Tottenham’s.
Now the transfer window in Turkey is also closed. When asked about the Brazilian striker, Spurs coach Roberto de Zerbi replied dryly: “Richarlison, I don’t know. He has said far too many times that he wants to leave”.
The first Premier League game was Richarlison from the start, the next two Tottenham played without the 29-year-old in the matchday squad.

Whether it’s Portugal, Saudi Arabia, or another round of transfers in January, Richarlison is done at Tottenham.
