Ipswich Town are exploring the possibility of a double deal to sign Tottenham players Wilson Odobert and Tyrese Hall before the transfer deadline.
The Tractor Boys have had a hectic summer after their promotion to the Premier League. Gary O’Neil has taken over as manager from Kieran McKenna, and a total of 12 new players have arrived – including Florentino Luís, Julio Enciso, Daizen Maeda, Emerson and Abdul Fatawu.

However, after a 2-1 win over Sunderland in the season opener, Ipswich are still looking for reinforcements before the window closes on September 1 – and now they have their sights set on Tottenham. Newly appointed manager Gary O’Neil knows that the club he is set to lead is one of the experts’ relegation candidates. (he was brought from Strasbourg at the end of June)
According to journalist Darren Witcoop, who writes on social media, Ipswich are considering an ambitious double deal to sign both Odobert and Hall this summer.
Undoubled – injured, but with enormous potential
Odobert joined Tottenham from Burnley in a deal worth £25 million in 2024. The young Frenchman made 32 appearances for the north London club before rupturing his cruciate ligament in February – and is now making a comeback.
He is known for his dazzling speed, and even though he is only 21 years old, Ipswich believe he can raise his attacking level considerably.
Hall – success in Notts County
Tyrese Hall, on the other hand, has never played Premier League football for Spurs. But he impressed on loan at Notts County last season, scoring eight goals in 36 appearances in all competitions – and contributing to the club’s promotion from League Two.
The 21-year-old midfielder is also a national team player for Jamaica. Ipswich probably see him more as a player of the future than an immediate starter.

Tottenham ready to sell
Tottenham have had a formidable summer in the transfer market. With Savio and Omar Marmoush already in place – and the club on the hunt for at least one more striker – there is little room for Odobert in the squad.
To replace Enzo Fernández – ready with a huge bid of £90 million
Young Odobert had chances under Thomas Frank before the injury, and although he showed glimpses of something exciting, there was no assist. With James Maddison, Mohammed Kudus and Dejan Kulusevski soon back from injury, he will fall further down the hierarchy.
As for Hall, Spurs and Roberto De Zerbi have shown themselves more than willing to let go of young talent this summer – and Hall fits into that category.
Tottenham are ready for business. Now Ipswich could be the destination for the duo from north London.
