Former Ole Gunnar Solskjaer assistant Kieran McKenna has been in charge of Ipswich since 2021. One of England’s most exciting young coaches was behind the feat of promotion from League One to the Premier League twice in a row, for the first time since Southampton did so in 2012. Last season, unfortunately, it was directly relegated from the Premier League. Now McKenna’s Ipswich have responded.
Because on Saturday, Ipswich secured the last of the Championship’s two direct promotion places with a 3-0 win over Queens Park Rangers.

The Tractors Boys gave excited supporters the good feeling at home at Portman Road with two early goals – and the good feeling lasted until 3-0 and victory.
After the game, there were of course Euros scenes at Portman Road. Congratulations! McKenna and Ipswick are deservedly back in the world’s toughest league.
