English gossip press loves Jack Grealish. This week they were able to show a sleeping Jack in a chair at a nightclub, clearly tired at a party. What no one can take away from the 30-year-old is his eminent play in the Everton shirt on loan. The path to a permanent transfer from Manchester City looked clear, but then things narrowed with injury in January. The season was over for the winger, the way forward was not so obvious. Now it is reported that Everton have great faith that the plan for Grealish signing will succeed.

Everton signed Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City last summer after the Englishman had a troubled season the year before. Right from the start in an Everton shirt, Grealish delivered to his full potential, with two goals and six assists as the club’s new playmaker.

Everton have an option to buy £50 million. According to TEAMtalk’s sources , Everton are not expected to be able to exercise their option to sign Grealish for this amount, but the club is becoming “increasingly confident” about having the former Aston Villa star in their squad for cheaper or another loan period.

Manchester City are expected to reduce their squad during the summer as they look to replace outgoing free agents such as Bernardo Silva and John Stones, and Grealish is expected to be among those who will be sold. Considering that Jack Grealish missed out on the last six months of football, it is unlikely that there will be a huge market for his services during the summer transfer window, which could force Manchester City to reduce their asking price or loan him out again.
