MLS. “The Ronaldo League”. Although many expect Mo Salah to end up in a league outside of Europe, there are many Salah fans who hope the Liverpool legend takes a few more seasons in the UEFA region. On Friday, Foot Mercato reported Salah had signed a one-year contract with a European club. It didn’t take many hours before Salah’s agent moved out.
Foot Mercato claimed the former Liverpool star has signed a one-year deal with Besiktas, with an option for a further year. The report from the media house followed a story by Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who was the first to describe the alleged interest.

-I personally don’t know where Mohamed will play next season. What does that tell you?, agent Ramy Abbas Issa wrote on social media.
Besiktas also denies the sensational story.
-The posts that journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu has published on digital platforms regarding the club’s transfer activities and the alleged transfer conditions are completely fabricated. He has been misleading the public for a long time by spreading fabricated news that is constructed at a desk and has no connection to the reality of the club’s transfer process. As we have previously made clear, the most correct and transparent information about the club’s transfer activities is shared with our fans and the public through our official communication channels. We once again strongly urge the public – and especially our fans – not to rely on information or news that is not published through our official channels,” Besiktas writes.

However, Yağız Sabuncuoğlu stands by its history and insists that the two parties have reached an agreement.
“My respect for Besiktas is endless, but I still stand by my story about Salah. Mohamed Salah, whose news I was the first to reveal in Turkey, has struck a deal with Besiktas. However, the official signing has not yet taken place. Hopefully, we will also have the opportunity to share the news of the official contract signing with our Besiktas fans,” the journalist writes on his X-profile.
