Before this weekend’s games, Julian Ryerson stood as the player with the third most assists in the Bundesliga. A strong performance, but not enough for the Norwegian international. Dortmund supporters have become accustomed to the right-back delivering the most beautiful passes, halfway through the score. On Sunday, Ryerson was back, now as the player with the second most assists.
Michael Olise tops the assists list in the German league with 18, before the Mainz game, the Frenchman had teammate David Luiz in second place with 13 assists. League champions Bayern eventually won 3-4 after a terrific recovery, but Luiz was not involved in scoring during his 45 minutes on the pitch. It was, however, Julian Ryerson.

Borussia Dortmund are fighting for 2nd place in the Bundesliga, on Sunday the Dortmund players poured over Freiburg in what became a one-way drive towards the away team’s goal in the first half. Before thirty-two minutes of the game had passed, Dortmund led 3-0! (ended 4-0)
Ryerson served Ramy Bensebaini a nice pass in the 31st minute to score, this was Ryerson’s 13th assist in the Bundesliga. With another assist, Ryerson now stands alongside Luiz as the player with the second most assists. We love it!
