“Everyone” knew that Jürgen Klopp could not turn down the job as German national team coach. This was one of perhaps two coaching jobs he could consider before he retires for good as a coach. The question now was not if, but when. The German Football Association and Klopp had to do things in the right order, and earlier this week Klopp himself announced that the last formal obstacle has been removed. On Friday, it is time for the big press conference.
Several media outlets, including Germany’s Sky Sports, report that the German Football Association has invited the media to a press conference on Friday.

Here, Jürgen Klopp will be presented as Germany’s new national team coach until 2030. Julian Nagelsmann was Germany’s coach between 2023 and 2026, but failed to lift the Germans to success. Now it’s Master Klopp’s turn.
