Swedish right-back Emil Holm is where he wants to be and has delivered well when he has been available and given the chance. He was loaned from Bologna to Juventus this winter. – The 25-year-old’s wish is to stay, but then a few more pieces have to fall into place.
Manager Luciano Spalletti sees the potential in Holm, but there is no certainty that Juventus will exercise the purchase option in the deal. – Had it been a resounding success, it would not have been a problem, but injury breaks and varying form have put a damper on it.

The manager, like everyone else, sees the potential and he should be interested in a permanent transfer, but then all the cards have to lay out correctly.
When Emil Holm was loaned out from Bologna to Juventus this winter, full-back Joao Mario went the opposite way.
The Portuguese will return to Turin when his loan spell ends in the summer, but according to transfer journalist Nicolo Schira, Mario is not part of coach Luciano Spalletti’s plans for the future.
That could open the door for Holm.
The Swede has a loan deal, but there is also a purchase option that Juventus can trigger if they wish. The price tag is 15 million euros.
Emil Holm has struggled with a number of injury problems since the transfer, and he has both started and been benched when he has been injury-free. In total, there have been seven games for him.
