Everton are considering bringing Kyle Walker back to the Premier League. The Burnley full-back has one year left on his contract at Turf Moor, after he left Manchester City last summer.
Walker, who has been close to a move to Everton on several occasions during his career, could finally land at Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer.

The 36-year-old has continued to show reliability – he started 35 games in the Premier League for Burnley during the relegation season last season. And he showed he can still be decisive when he scored Burnley’s winning penalty in Saturday’s Carabao Cup win over Notts County.
The transfer will give Walker another chance to play Premier League football – despite initially preparing for Championship games.
Moyes wants experience
Everton manager David Moyes wants to sign Walker, who possesses a wealth of experience ahead of a busy season for the Toffees – with European qualification among the club’s objectives.
The right-back position is a problem area for Moyes, who has used centre-back Jake O’Brien as an improvised full-back. Everton face a day-to-day life without Séamus Coleman, who left the club last summer – and Nathan Patterson has failed to establish himself as a credible long-term successor.
Moyes will be hoping to fill the gap before the season opener against Crystal Palace.
Active summer for Everton
The Everton boss has already been active in the transfer window with the signings of Christian Nørgaard, Hayden Hackney, Tyrique George and Merlin Röhl.
On Tuesday, Everton also completed the signing of Brennan Johnson from Crystal Palace – as part of a swap deal where Dwight McNeil went the opposite way.
Following his move to the Merseyside club, Johnson said:

“I know that it is something that is appreciated here – and it is non-negotiable. They can expect that from me. In addition, I think I can add speed, goals and everything I have.
“The incredible fan base Everton has – both home and away – is something I’ve always known. It’s a great honour to be here and play for them now.
