The uncertainty is over! – Bayern Munich extend with legendary goalkeeper duo.

Bayern Munich have signed goalkeepers Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich on one-year contracts.

Both Neuer and Ulreich were out of contract at the end of this season – which could still end with a historic double for Bayern.

Vincent Kompany’s men lift the Bundesliga title on Saturday when they host Cologne in their final league game at the Allianz Arena. Then Stuttgart awaits in the DFB-Pokal final at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin next weekend.

Manuel Neuer is chasing his 13th league title

Neuer lifts the Bundesliga title for the 13th time this weekend. He has played a whopping 597 games for Bayern since joining from Schalke in 2011. During this period, he has also won five DFB-Pokal titles and two Champions League trophies.

The 40-year-old goalkeeping legend will continue for another year at the Allianz Arena. Ulreich chooses to do the same, and thus Bayern stay very well equipped in the goalkeeper position – with German international Jonas Urbig under contract until 2029.

Neuer: “Now I’m very happy”

“I took my time with the decision and now I’m very happy,” Neuer told Bayern’s official website.

“Everything is right here: with this team, we can beat anyone. I like to go to Säbener Strasse every day, and I perform as well as I can.

“In our goalkeeper team, we stand together and try to raise the level, we constantly push each other and prepare as well as possible for the games.

Ulreich: “I’ve started to love FC Bayern”

Ulreich, 36, has won nine Bundesliga titles, three DFB Trophies and the Champions League in 2019/20 since joining from Stuttgart in 2015.

“I’m really happy. I feel amazing, I’m still very interested in football – and I’ve simply started to love FC Bayern,” Ulreich said.

“We have a fantastic team with a brilliant coaching staff, and it’s great fun every day – not least within our goalkeeper team. It’s great to see how everything continues to evolve and I’m sure we’ll have a chance to achieve everything again next season.
