33-year-old Frederik Gytkjær has for almost his entire career (minus two seasons in Norway for Haugesund) bombed away for Lyngby Boldklub, where he is fast approaching 100 goals for the royal blues. 35-year-old Christian Gytkjær is approaching almost 200 goals in his career, which has taken him to a number of different countries and on the Danish national team.

Big brother Christian Gytkjær has had a bit of a rough time after he in 2016 for 2.5 million euros the German club TSV 1860 Munich, which in practice was bankrupt when the transfer took place.

Now he is in Bari, on outgoing contact, which makes his little brother believe in a return to his childhood club Lyngby.

“I think he’ll soon be on a plane on his way to Denmark”

There have not been many more goal-scoring pairs than the Gytkjær brothers.

This summer, however, Christian Gytkjær’s contract expires in Italian Bari – and with a possible promotion to the Superliga for Lyngby Boldklub, could Frederik try to entice his big brother to make a comeback in the royal blue?

“Ha ha. Yes, it is at least a possibility, says Frederik Gytkjær to the Danish Tipsbladet and adds:

“He has an outlet with Bari, and they have also bought a house in Denmark. So I think he’ll soon be on a plane on his way home. Then we’ll see what happens, and what place he finds. At least I still think that there is something ball in him, so it will be exciting to see where he ends up.

While Frederik Gytkjær has only represented Lyngby Boldklub in Denmark, Christian Gytkjær has also been with FC Nordsjælland and AB.

Since then, the trip went abroad for the attacker, who has visited Sandnes Ulf, FK Haugesund, Rosenborg, 1860 Munich, Lech Poznan, Monza, Venice and now Bari.

There have also been five goals in nine international matches for Denmark.
