There is fierce competition for playing time in the PSG attack, not surprising when the club are back-to-back champions in the Champions League. For Bradley Barcola, the signing of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has resulted in him not being in the starting eleven for the biggest games – nor the prospect of more. In recent months, Barcola has been linked with Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona. This season ended with a solid 11 goals in 29 Ligue 1 games,

Salah is now gone, Federico Chiesa on his way out, and Andoni Iraola needs wingers who can lift the Liverpool attack significantly. Yan Diomande is reported as the top candidate, but RB Leipzig are raving about 130 million euros to release the teenager. The Liverpool Echo reports that Liverpool are no doubt keeping an eye on further developments with Barcola, with the France international remaining one of the most exciting options on the market to bolster Iraola’s attack.

A break in negotiations between PSG and Barcola bodes well for Liverpool.
