“We work calmly… I can’t say if he wants to go or not. Today, he is a PSG player. We’ll see,” said PSG’s chairman after winning against Aston Villa in the Super Cup. The player in question is of course Bradley Barcola. In recent weeks, it has seemed almost impossible for Liverpool to get the transfer of the French lightning winger through, but the “we’ll see” comment is a clear sign that it is more about Liverpool’s willingness to pay than PSG blocking the exit. Now transfer journalist Romano comes with the latest update.

“Liverpool are still in ‘active’ talks about signing Bradley Barcola, who is eager to move on. LFC have daily contacts, but the sum is still a problem, and 120 million euros is unlikely enough,” the transfer journalist writes on social media.

Personal terms no problem, in daily conversations/negotiations. Barcola was excited to put on the Liverpool shirt.

This is reminiscent of last summer’s transfer chaos with Alexander Isak. Liverpool and the player had decided, £125 million was where the limit had to be pushed to secure the transfer. Liverpool’s continued high level of activity in the negotiations shows that the Premier League club will not give up here either. Bradley Barcola is said to be the X-factor on the wing in Iraola’s attacking machine.
