Liverpool could offer Federico Chiesa and one of his teammates at Anfield to try and beat Paris Saint-Germain to the signing of Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Contract talks between Kvaratskhelia and Napoli have come to a complete halt, meaning it’s only a matter of time before he leaves the Italian club. Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-GermainAll looking for the electric winger.
Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on landing Kvaratskhelia, after conducting “direct negotiations” with Napoli. The Ligue 1 giants have been told that it will cost €80 million to sign him in January.
However, Liverpool cannot be ruled out in the transfer hunt. As per Rousing the Kop, Reds bosses are considering including two players in a “sensational” swap deal for Kvaratskhelia.
The first is Chiesa, who has struggled to make an impact since joining Anfield in the summer, the second more surprising is striker Darwin Nunez as well.
Liverpool spent an initial £64 million to sign the Uruguayan in July 2022, while the deal has the potential to rise to £85 million through add-ons. But Nunez has struggled to live up to the huge price tag and has caused a lot of frustration among Liverpool fans with his unpredictable performances.
Liverpool and PSG both want Kvaratskhelia
David Ornstein stated on Thursday that Liverpool “could consider” signing the 23-year-old this month, seeing it as a huge market opportunity.
