The bosses at Anfield have really tried to relieve the attacking England midfielder Harvey Elliot already and now they are trying again.

Harvey Elliott was loaned from Liverpool to Aston Villa before this season. But his stay in Birmingham has been a complete failure for the 23-year-old.

Already in January, Unai Emery openly said that he chose not to give him playing time – due to a clause in the loan deal.

“Our problem with Harvey is that he is on loan this year and if he plays games, we have to buy him. We decided two months ago that we were not convinced to buy him and spend the money required. That’s the whole problem,” Emery said, according to the BBC.

Now, transfer expert Nicolò Schira reports that Liverpool have decided to try and sell the attacking midfielder in the summer.

Elliott has only made five appearances for Aston Villa in the Premier League this season. His contract with Liverpool expires in 2027.
