A year after the crazy transfer window with the signing of new players for £440 million, Liverpool are ready for another gigantic round of deals. There are two players in particular who will take a big bite out of this year’s transfer budget.
Liverpool have had a €100 million bid for 19-year-old Yan Diomande rejected. This shows the priority of Mo Salah’s chosen replacement at Anfield. In recent weeks, Bradley Barcola has also been linked with the Premier League club, the hyperactive transfer journalist Romano reports that one signing does not remove the investment in the other.

Romano claims Liverpool are still actively chasing Bradley Barcola along with Yan Diomande, where there is a high possibility that the Reds will sign BOTH players. A new era is to be built under Andoni Iraola, now it is hoped Liverpool will get back to what Mo Salah called for before he walked out of Anfield this summer: Klopp’s heavy metal football with full throttle in attack.
RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande and PSG’s Bradley Barcola are a perfect fit for that.
Now it is reported that Liverpool are preparing a new bid for Diomande, where the signing of 100+ million euro player Bradley Barcola is a little further down the line. Thus, Liverpool can quickly reach over 200 million euros for two players, just a year after the giant Isak and Wirtz signings.

Romano explains the situation: “I’m not saying it’s one player or the other, I’m telling you what I know, and what I do know is that Liverpool maintain contacts for Diomande AND for Barcola.”
“It’s at completely different stages, because for Diomande they have already sent an official bid, they are discussing with Leipzig, talking to the agents. With Barcola, that’s a feeling I have. Internally at Liverpool, they discuss Barcola every single week, it’s a player they appreciate, a player they wanted as early as the summer of 2025, but it wasn’t possible. So they love Barcola!”
