Why a new right winger is needed
Liverpool are looking to strengthen their attack further, and the right wing position is at the top of their wish list. Several factors come into play:
- Cody Gakpo could be on his way away
- The team has a surplus of left-footed attacking players such as Rio Ngumoha, Victor Muñoz and Bradley Barcola
Iraola has therefore asked the board to bring in a natural right winger – and is ready to spend between 80 and 100 million euros to get what he wants.
🔴 Option 1: Rayan – Iraola’s favorite
At the top of the wish list is Rayan – the 20-year-old Brazilian winger who plays for Bournemouth.
Why he fits:
- Iraola coached Rayan at Bournemouth after he arrived in the winter window last season
- Can also be used as a striker
- Valued at around 80 million euros
- Already familiar with Iraola’s high-pressure game – the adaptation will probably go smoothly
🔵 Option 2: Pedro Neto – Portuguese on his way out?
Pedro Neto, 26, is one of two Chelsea players on the list. The Portuguese international has a contract until 2031, but has lost his place in the starting eleven under Xabi Alonso.

- Experienced and established at a high level
⭐ Option 3: Estêvão – huge talent in Chelsea’s backyard
Estêvão is only 19 years old, but is already considered one of the biggest talents in South America. He has a contract until 2033, but struggles for playing time under Alonso.
- Considering a change of club to get more football
- Price: around 100 million euros
- His enormous potential makes him an exciting option
