Ferran Torres ready for PSG – leaves Barcelona with one year left on his contract
Paris Saint-Germain have secured Ferran Torres. A clear message from manager Luis Enrique, and a World Cup hero on his way to the French capital.
PSG and FC Barcelona have reached an agreement on the transfer of Ferran Torres in the summer transfer window. The Spaniard was a direct wish from Luis Enrique himself, and now the deal is done.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the French are paying the €50 million demanded by Barcelona. The negotiations have been going on for several days, but when Torres himself expressed a clear desire to go to Paris, everything took off.
€50 million – and one clear priority
Barcelona’s board accepted PSG’s formal offer of €50 million – a sum that gives the Catalans breathing room in their finances and the opportunity to bring in other players to Hansi Flick’s squad.
The 26-year-old himself is said to have rejected all other options. It was the Parc des Princes that counted, nothing else.
Torres did not show up for Barcelona’s training after receiving formal permission from the coaching staff. Instead, he traveled to Paris to finalize the final details – and undergo the mandatory medical test before putting his name on the new contract.
Luis Enrique’s clear wish – after the World Championship gold
Picking up Torres is a direct request from Luis Enrique. The Asturian is looking for a versatile striker who can rotate with Ousmane Dembélé on the wings – and who can also cover the striker position.
The two know each other well from the national team, where Luis Enrique previously coached Torres. He appreciates the Spaniard’s running strength, movements, and ability to score in the big games.
And that’s exactly what Torres has proven. He was Spain’s big hero at the 2026 World Cup, where he decided the final against Argentina with a goal in extra time.
Now he will give PSG greater offensive depth in their quest to defend both the Ligue 1 title and the Champions League trophy.
Medical test in the hours to come
Ferran Torres will undergo the medical test in Paris in the next few hours. Once approved, PSG will officially present the Spaniard – and get him ready for Luis Enrique before the start of the season.
