This winter, there was a great stir, when English and German media reported a buyout clause that would be activated in Harry Kane’s contract with Bayern Munich. Several clubs considered the possibility of testing themselves on signing one of the world’s best strikers, but Kane signaled all along that he was perfect at Bayern and saw no reason to leave the giant success in the Bundesliga. Bayern management has been crystal clear this spring that they are in talks with Kane about a contract extension that should not give the Englishman any motivation to leave the club. This bounces off a La Liga giant.
For a fully occupied World Cup player, Kane, with one year left on his contract at Bayern Munich, Barcelona will now take advantage of the missing signature on Bayern’s contract offer.

The Daily Mail claims Barcelona management have been in contact with Kane’s representatives to gauge the mood for a transfer. There will be no response from Kane until after the World Cup, but the English media claim Barca have offered the opportunity to make a “proposal” after the World Cup.
Barcelona face strong opposition from Atletico Madrid in their very active Julian Alvarez campaign, where the Argentine created a full storm, when he stated in the World Cup that he wanted to join Barcelona. With Alvarez very uncertain, Barcelona management want to give Kane signing a try.
