Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos are in place at Manchester United. It has been crystal clear over the past six months that United would prioritise midfield in the transfer market, but have seen one after another of the top candidates disappear to Manchester City and Tottenham. Now the Red Devils are seriously on the offensive again.

In recent weeks, United have been closely linked with French international Manu Koné, according to Sky Sports , United could instead go for the player they already agree with.

Manchester United are back on track to Carlos Baleba signing. Because it is about bringing in a proper Casemiro replacement for the defensive part of the midfield.

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United have reopened talks over a Carlos Baleba transfer. The Red Devils pushed for his signature last summer, but were unable to seal a deal due to Brighton’s stiff £100m+ price expectation.

Conditions already agreed for Baleba

Personal terms have already been agreed with Baleba, so it should be a relatively easy deal for them to get in the box if they can complete a deal with Brighton. Baleba, who has been described as “world-class”, knows what United are willing to pay him and have accepted, meaning that shouldn’t have changed much before the summer. The Brighton midfielder struggled at times last season, so it will be interesting to see if the price they charge makes the transfer feasible for United.
