Before the World Cup, Julian Ryerson was linked to Manchester United after a brilliant season for Borussia Dortmund. Before the quarter-final against England, the Red Devils are clearly convinced that the Norwegian international has the qualities to assert himself in the biggest arenas.

Ryerson has impressed in his right-back position when he has been on the pitch at the World Cup, against Brazil he had superbly kept control of Vinicius Jr., one of the world’s very best attacking players. Ryerson played just over an hour against Brazil, but was effective in many ways. He won three duels and also completed an impressive 93 percent of his passes. According to German Bild , Manchester United have resumed their interest in Ryerson from before the World Cup, following his performances at the World Cup, which has put the Norwegian back on the radar.
