The Swedish attacking midfielder Amin Boudri, who grew up in AIK, was ready for something bigger than Gais this winter. Molde was one of several who had the 21-year-old on their lists, but when Los Angeles FC came on the scene and offered 3.3 million euros, it was tempting for both club and player.

The stay in MLS has not turned out as desired. On the other side of the Atlantic, there has been little playing time for Amin Boudri – he has mostly been a substitute and has only played seven games so far.

Molde makes a bid for Boudri that matches the transfer from this winter

A few weeks ago, there were rumours that a return to Scandinavia is already on the horizon, and that several clubs – including Molde and Brøndby – are showing interest. Now things are starting to happen. – Many thought his youth club AIK were the ones behind the rumours, but no. There have been rumors of a return to Gais as well, but they are said to be willing to only pay a fraction of their sales price from this winter.

Expressen reports that Norwegian Molde has just made a bid for Boudri worth 3.3 million euros – about 36.5 million Norwegian kroner. That is the same amount that LAFC paid when the offensive player was bought from Gais, and it is also the price the MLS club has set.

According to the newspaper, Molde and LAFC are currently in talks with the goal of concluding a transfer.

Boudri has a contract until 2029.
