All indications are that Paul Pogba will leave Monaco when the season is over. The French midfield star is looking for a new club in the summer transfer window.
The future of Paul Pogba is once again at the centre of the transfer market. Despite having a valid contract with AS Monaco until the end of next season, everything points to the 33-year-old being seen in new colours in the summer.

For Pogba, a change of club is also likely to mark the end of his international career. (which has actually been over for a long time…)
“Has not been able to regain the level”
The Frenchman has not been able to regain the level that once made him one of the world’s most crucial players. The performances in Monaco have not convinced either. The club is already working on a restructuring where his future is highly uncertain.
Pogba came to Monaco with the intention of reviving his career, but expectations have not been met. His influence on the pitch has been limited, and the inconsistency has caused doubts among both the coaching staff and the board.
Injuries and instability have been decisive reasons for this decline. He has simply not been able to find the rhythm needed to show his very best version again.
“The club will invest in more dynamic profiles”
Monaco wants to grow and compete more regularly in Ligue 1. Therefore, the club considers it necessary to invest in more dynamic types of players – preferably in better physical shape than Pogba is today.
Turkey and Saudi Arabia most likely
Given this picture, Pogba’s future seems to be moving away from the major European leagues. Two destinations seem most likely: Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
Fenerbahçe has already shown great interest in buying his services. The Turkish big club wants to bring in experienced players to strengthen their project, and sees the Frenchman as an exciting opportunity.
Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, is very attractive economically. Several clubs in the region are willing to offer huge contracts to attract international stars.
“Must choose between competition and money”
The choice of the next destination will be crucial for Pogba. At this stage in his career, he must prioritize – either sporting challenges or financial security.
Turkey will allow him to continue to compete in a demanding environment, albeit with less media pressure than in the biggest leagues. Saudi Arabia gives him financial stability – in a sporting context that is far less demanding.
Monaco does not put obstacles in the way
Monaco is unlikely to put a spanner in the works for a sale. The club wants to free up salary space and make room for new signings that fit better into the project.
The summer transfer window will be key to resolving the situation. Pogba is still a big name in international football, but today’s reality is unfortunately very different from his best years.

“A crucial phase in my career”
The midfielder is now at a crossroads. His next destination will mark the end of a career marked by great talent, huge expectations – but unfortunately also a lot of inconsistency.
In an increasingly demanding world of football, it becomes crucial to find the right environment to end your career in a dignified way. Pogba has the opportunity to choose where he wants to continue to compete.
A decision is approaching, and all signs point to change. Turkey or Saudi Arabia appear to be the most realistic options for a player who wants a new chapter in the final phase of his career.
